Flamingos are a species of bird famous for their pink feathers, long stilt-like legs and hooked downward-bent bills.

Flamingo chicks are white and get their colour from the pigment in the regurgitated so-called "crop milk" that their parents feed them. 

Dublin Zoo is a not-for-profit organisation which does not receive statutory funding. We rely on revenue streams, in the form of gate receipts and sales from our gift shop.
